"Hi, my name is Valentin Kluss, I'm 14 years old and I'm Formula 4 driver for PHM Racing. I did karting for 7 years and I was successful enough to take the big step to Formula cars. This year will be more like a year to learn and earn experience, because I won't be able to drive the full italian- and german F4 championship, because I turn 15 just at May 25th. Valentin comes from Bad Mergentheim in the south of Germany. After being over a second faster than his father's best lap time with rental karts, his father bought him his own kart and Valentin started competing in local kart races.
Only with the help of a sponsor was Kluss able to participate in major national championships. Among others, he went on to win the Rotax Max Challenge Germany in 2020 and took victory at the ADAC Kart Masters in 2021.
During last year he started testing Formula 4 cars with teams like Teo Martín Motorsport or Mücke Motorsport. Most recently, he set the fastest time over both days of testing at Misano with Cram Motorsport.
He will make his car racing debut with PHM Racing in ADAC F4 at the Circuit Zandvoort on the weekend of June 24-26.
