CHARLIE WURZ

Charlie Wurz is a 16-year old Austrian racing driver, who lives in Monaco. The son of former F1 driver and 24h Le Mans winner Alex Wurz, competed in karts for several years.

He managed to become Austrian karting champion twice and took victory at the 2018 Rotax Canadian Open. Charlie made the step up to OK Junior karts in 2019 and attended his first WSK events. One year later he joined the OK category and finished his first event, the WSK Open Cup, in P9. He also won the ACI Super Corso in 2020.

In 2021, Wurz started to make his first steps in car racing. He crowned his maiden Italian F4 race weekend at the Autodromo Vallelunga with a victory in the rookie class. Later in the year, he joined the Porsche Cup Middle East in GT4 with Lechner Racing. Three out of four class victories made this experience even more enjoyable for him. After that, he raced in the F4 UAE Trophy Round at the F1 season finale in Abu Dhabi and won the first ever Formula 4 race with the new Tatuus Gen2 car.

Charlie is currently racing in F4 UAE with Prema Racing and took three podiums out of eight races so far. For the rest of 2022, he will be racing in Italian Formula 4 with Prema.
